ThinApp deployment methods whitepaper

I’ve created a whitepaper that describes different kind of methods to deploy ThinApp applications. ThinApp is often compared to other application virtualization solutions that have a deployment mechanism build-in, like Microsoft App-V or Citrix XenApp streaming. ThinApp doesn’t have a build-in deployment mechanism, but there are a lot of options to deploy ThinApp applications. This whitepaper will describe several methods to deploy ThinApp applications.

My plan is to include RES Workspace manager, Appsense, LiquidwareLabs Profile Unity and other methods to the whitepaper in the next couple of months. If you have any comment or suggestions, mail me or leave a comment.

    Sounds great Sven,
two questions that popped in to my mind when I read your idea:

How about Group Policy Preferences and SCCM?

And are you only going to show how to make a shortcut available to the exe which is then streamed from a fileshare or are you also going to talk about ways to copy the thinapp package locally and then running it?

You know how to contact me if you have any questions or need help.

      Hi Niels,

Good idea, I was thinking about adding RES Workspace manager combined with RES automation manager to the whitepaper, but GPP and SCCM could be added too.

    Hi Sven,

We would be more than happy to schedule a webdemo to show you how to deliver thinapp packages to end users with just 2 (yes:2!) mouseclicks. After using easy delivery to do this, the management of (the contents of) the package is performed realsime, fta’s are managed centrally and dependencies are managed centrally.
